Mrs. Ramirez began her career in 1968 with American Express International Banking Corporation. She has served as vice president and senior money market economist for Merrill Lynch, senior vice president and money market economist at Becker Paribas and as managing director and money market economist for Drexel Burnham Lambert.

Named the No. 1 economist in The Wall Street Journal’s semiannual economic-forecasting survey, Mrs. Ramirez holds a bachelor of arts in business administration/economics from Pace University. Aside from participating in numerous financial organizations, she is a sought-after speaker at U.S. and international forums. She also is a frequent guest on a variety of business-related television and radio programs.
